Love it or hate it, email is part of our daily lives. Despite its limitations, it's not going away any time soon. We agree with many of you that Mavenlink should be as seamlessly integrated with email as possible and still give the benefits of capture, clarity, and purpose that you expect out of a project management & productivity system. That's why we're in business!

We're really excited to be taking the first of many steps toward making email much more integrated into your workflow. Whether you're on your mobile device or in your mail client, you'll be able to drive a lot of collaboration directly from your email.

New feature: Attach files to emails for posting in projects

Although it's not reflected in our great feature request area (that you should be using more often!), one of our biggest requests has been allowing attachments to be posted in projects via email. We're excited to announce that this feature is launched and ready for you today.

The best part is you can keep using Mavenlink just as you have been, but now you can attach files to your replies and have them post in your project. Simply reply to a message notification and attach files via Gmail, Outlook, Mail.app, or your email client of choice, and the message with its attachments will be posted in your project workspace.

New feature: Email top-level posts (new threads) to projects

Another big request, which really surprised us, is that many of you wanted the ability to post top-level messages to a project. Since we were already in the code, we figured it would be a great time to make this work too! You'll see instructions in your email notifications and on the bottom-right of each one of your projects.

It looks like this:

Direct Email for Projects

We hope you enjoy these 2 big features and let us know how we can continually improve! Stay tuned for more features in this arena, including integrated features within Gmail & Google Apps.
