Mavenlink is looking for college grads that want to jump-start their careers through enterprise sales and sales development.  The Business Development Representative is a big part of our company’s growth strategy.  BDRs are salespeople-in-training and are responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for our Account Executives.  The BDR role can lay the foundation for a successful tech sales career, as well as many other roles.  Did you know that 40 % of S&P 500 CEOs come from a sales/marketing background?  

Within the first 6 months it is expected that BDRs will:
  • Become an expert in sales development: product knowledge, messaging, and high-tech tools to be successful (Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Google Apps, etc.)

  • Be coached by a team of experienced salespeople, with access to scripts, training, and a sales playbook

  • Expand their network by attending networking events in the area

  • Leverage opportunities to learn the market and business
 • Consistently meet goals and hit commissions
 

By approximately 6-24 months, it is expected that the BDR will:
  • Build on core skills and next-level sales/marketing knowledge

  • Gain knowledge of how to exceed goals and maintain momentum

  • Sit in on sales calls to learn what it takes to close 5- and 6-figure deals
 Choose a track and begin working with mentors, set goals, and advance career

  • Continue to meet goals and hit commissions
 

Responsibilities:  
  • Prospect and hunt for the right contacts at small to enterprise-level companies

  • Generate interest through outbound email and phone campaigns

  • Follow up with relevant messaging based on targeted segments

  • Conduct qualifying calls and speak knowledgeably with decision makers such as C-Suite, VPs and Directors

  • Coordinate meetings with Account Executives

  • Contribute to overall team success - relay any information that may be of value to the team be it best practices, new features, competitive pressures, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned
  

Desired Minimum Qualifications:
  • Sales and/or tech sales experience a plus (not required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university)
