Role Overview
The VP of Advisory Services serves as our Professional Services (PS) domain expert, working with our prospects and clients to ensure that services are scoped appropriately to deliver their desired business outcomes.  To accomplish this, the VP, Advisory Services teams closely with our Sales (Account Executives, Managers, and Executives), Client Success, and Professional Services organizations.  

Key Responsibilities
  • New Clients
    • Team with Sales AEs and Professional Services to engage with prospects as our Services industry domain expert and business architect to present delivery methodology, scope engagements (approach, schedule, resources), and to author the ultimate Statement of Work (SOW).

    • Serve as program manager/executive sponsor for larger engagements.

    • Position Advisory Services (either as a pre-sales strategy or later during the Operate and Optimize phase) early in the process.
  • Existing Clients
    • Team with Client Success Managers and Professional Services to engage with clients as our Services industry domain expert and business architect to present delivery methodology, scope add-on, upsell, and renewal engagements (approach, schedule, resources) and to author the ultimate SOW.

    • Build executive relationships at clients along with Account Executives and Client Success Managers.

    • Sell and lead Operate and Optimize phase.

  • Coordinate and assist in establishing the feasibility of new engagements and deliverables.

  • Perform monthly/quarterly forecasting and planning for services sales and services revenue.

  • Learn all relevant aspects of our product suite, solutions, consulting processes and consulting methodologies in order to sell Mavenlink solutions profitably and with a high-level of client satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with Sales team to communicate and transition new engagements to Professional Services delivery team.

  • Provide senior client and executive sponsorship while ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction are met. Build and nurture C-level relationships across the top clients to solidify their partnership with Mavenlink.

  • Contribute to new programs designed to improve the services sales process and the attainment of business objectives.

    • Design and implement processes to cost-effectively support smaller clients (SMB)

    • Design and implement processes to effectively support larger clients (mid-market and enterprise) as this portion of Mavenlink’s business continues to grow
.
  • Help create a company-wide culture of exceptional client service – aligning metrics within various departments.

  • Embody Mavenlink values and provide exemplary leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing and/or Communications.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in leadership/management roles running a PS organization delivering enterprise-level business applications and/or a PS Operations team supporting the same.

  • An expert in the Professional Services field with the ability to consult with and advise client’s VP and C-level Services Executives.
  • Experience leading business development efforts for consulting services work.

  • Solid understanding of Project Management methodologies, processes, and tools (standard and emerging trends).
  • Knowledgeable of consulting processes & methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based/SaaS solution offerings 

  • Knowledgeable on all relevant aspects of the Mavenlink product suite and solutions as well as related industry solutions such as CRM, ERP, and HCM.

  • Strong written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels (Project Manager, Director, VP, C-level, etc.) and areas (business and IT) within a client organization.

  • Strong engagement and client management skills.

  • Strong leadership, selling, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Possess outcome-based approach with a focus on using data for decision making.

  • Excellent organization, project management, time management, and communication skills.

  • Willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and assist wherever needed.
  • Ability to work independently and to deliver on detail as well as strategy.
