We’re looking for a thoughtful, self-motivated technical writer to join the Mavenlink Product team in our Salt Lake City office. Our team culture emphasizes collaboration, communication, and commitment to help each other learn and grow. Your opinions, thoughts, and experience will be valued and you’ll have our support in pursuing your ideas.

You will be responsible for writing copy and content for all things Mavenlink, including end-user documentation for feature launches, application workflows, partner integrations, API, SDK, and client communications. You’ll partner with our support, development, and marketing teams to provide textual direction and input on company voice and terminology standards.

Responsibilities
  • Document product features to help our clients and internal teams use Mavenlink

  • Create engaging, easy-to-understand content such as user guides, knowledge base articles, how-tos, step-by-step collateral, and UI text

  • Build new or update existing content to support frequent product changes
  • Leverage web analytics and other forms of customer feedback to identify and prioritize documents for enhancement and workflow improvements
  • Adhere to the review/approval processes for new and updated documentation

  • Develop and maintain documentation templates and style guides

  • Provide feedback for support, training, and related customer-facing content
 Write and edit scripts for video content as needed

  • Maintain a clear perspective on the company-wide written material to see that it adheres to a common style and information architecture

Ideal Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, copywriting, creative writing, or equivalent

  • 1+ years creating developer documentation (API, SDK, etc.) strongly preferred

  • Prior experience creating documentation in an Agile development environment

  • Specific in-depth knowledge of SaaS business practices preferred
  • Experience managing all aspects of content creation, delivery, and storage
  • Familiarity with designing an information architecture for findability and usability

  • Experience with building help centers in Salesforce or Zendesk a big plus
  • Project Portfolio Management (PPM) experience a plus

  • Proficiency in design using software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus

  • BA/MA, English/Technical Communications or equivalent related experience
