The Director, Employee Experience contributes to Mavenlink’s success by acting as a strategic Human Resources expert implementing and sustaining foundational pillars for developing and engaging our employees. The role will focus on delivering high-quality employee programs at all levels; overseeing execution of learning plans, training workshops, career development/onboarding programs, and employee surveys. This individual will work across all domestic and international business units to support the deployment of key employee initiatives to meet business needs. This role reports to the SVP of HR and will be located in our Irvine office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creates and executes a learning & development strategy; takes the lead on multiple projects to enhance the employee experience and opportunities for our employees
  • Partners with business leaders to improve talent management efforts; rolls out employee-centered programs across divisions and departments (on-boarding, training, talent assessments, succession planning, performance management, etc.)
  • Establishes plans, systems, and communication strategies to support and implement key priorities for various initiatives (leadership development, career development programs, recognition programs, etc.)
  • Leads our employee engagement survey including results communication, action planning, progress tracking, etc.
  • Oversees the delivery of employee onboarding programs and consults with the business in continually improving new hire programs and processes
  • Consults with leadership at all levels regarding recommended employee development tactics and serves as a resource on best practices
  • Identifies qualified external consultants as needed -- monitoring and managing their work

  • Has strong client service skills and the ability to execute in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Is a strong team player and mentor, and possesses strong influencing skills
  • Has excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Is able to build positive working relationships with a diverse group of people


  • Minimum of 10 years experience building talent initiatives and development programs
  • Masters Degree or PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of leadership development/management training needs with an ability to apply adult learning theories to employee programs
  • Experienced as a training facilitator, with a track record of impactful and effective program delivery to various business audiences
  • Experienced in implementing and analyzing employee surveys
