The Role

Mavenlink is looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to join our London team and propel their enterprise sales careers. We need a person who knows how to prospect into Mid Market and Enterprise level accounts in EMEA.  The Business Development Representative (BDR) is instrumental to Mavenlink’s growth strategy, and plays a vital role in representing the first “face of Mavenlink” to our prospects and ultimate clients. The role lays the foundation for a successful career in Tech Sales as well as other careers such as Account Management, Client Success, Services, etc.

It is expected that BDRs will:
  • Become experts in sales development: product and market knowledge, messaging, use of high-tech tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, LeadIQ, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google Apps, and of course, Mavenlink.

  • Work closely with Account Executives and sales leadership to create, manage and maintain a working list of specially selected target accounts 
  • Conduct strategic outreach to penetrate into enterprise accounts
  • Be coached by experienced sales team members

  • Be provided with in-depth personal development training for soft skills

  • Expand their network by attending events in the area

  • Choose a track and begin working with mentors, set goals, and advance career

  • Consistently meet goals and hit commissions

  • Prospect and hunt for the right contacts at enterprise-level companies

  • Generate curiosity through outbound email, phone and social media campaigns

  • Follow up with relevant messaging based on targeted segments

  • Conduct qualifying calls and speak consultatively with C-Suite, VP and Director level decision makers

  • Coordinate strategic meetings Account Executive and sales leadership teams

  • Contribute to overall team success - articulate any information that may be of value to the wider team be it best practices, new features, competitive pressures, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Minimum Qualifications:
  • 12+ months of B2B sales experience (Saas/tech background preferred, but not essential)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed

  • Team player with a natural ability to communicate and engage

  • Creativity, curiosity, and desire to find “the third alternative” when faced with a challenge

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate the company’s value proposition
