The Role

Reporting to the Director of Support, the Insights Support Specialist will work alongside experienced professionals sharing the mission of enhancing business performance through analytics. This role will support clients in their quest to better understand Insights reports metrics by conducting data analysis, answering analytical questions, and solving technical Insights-related issues. Troubleshooting reports, performing quantitative analysis, data mining, and providing client support are also in scope. You will have an opportunity to gain valuable business and analytical experience while drawing on the knowledge of the Support and Business Intelligence teams.

The Duties
  • Identify, assess and troubleshoot complex dashboards or reports
  • Understand our clients’ business requirements and objectives while ensuring alignment with the Mavenlink solution to drive desired business results
  • Understand Mavenlink’s database systems to obtain information for ad-hoc data analysis
  • Provide analytical support to ensure the integrity of Mavenlink’s Insights reports
  • Interpret data, analyze results using analytical techniques and provide ongoing analytical support
  • Troubleshoot integration configuration and help diagnose issues with standard metrics and reports on an ongoing basis
  • Assist with activities such as requirements gathering, functional design, system testing, user acceptance testing, issue troubleshooting, resolution, change management, and training
  • Contribute to an environment that fosters collaboration and teamwork through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills, and expertise

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or other Analytics related quantitative field
  • Fluent English Speaker with excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior help desk experience or experience supporting clients or other demonstrated ability to serve clients effectively
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis tools
  • Strong analytical experience related to report building and/or working with database tools/languages (ex. Tableau, GoodData, SQL, PHP, etc.)
  • A true passion for working with numbers to solve problems, analyze procedures, and investigate business issues
  • Proven technical experience and the aptitude to quickly learn new technologies
  • Programming fundamentals, experience with relational databases and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong business acumen and Project Management experience
  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or a related quantitative field
  • 2-3 year of proven technical experience in Analytics
