About the Role
  • Manage and provide oversight of implementation of our client’s technical solutions, as well as support key internal projects and strategic initiatives
  • Manage resource allocations of technical resources to support resource forecasting and demand planning
  • Project planning and coordination, project team resource management, and overall delivery to ensure our clients experience value through the Mavenlink technical solutions
  • Establish trusted relationships with Technical Services managers, project teams, client teams, and key stakeholders both within Mavenlink and across our partner network
  • Create a climate where technical team members are inspired to do their best by establishing and maintaining shared goals and by setting clear and concise expectations
  • Contribute to the development of Mavenlink's project management best practices, methodologies and professional development of more junior project managers

About the Job
Our ideal candidate will:
  • Provide oversight of technical deliverables and commitments across multiple technical projects to ensure implementation efficiency with geographically dispersed project teams.
  • Meet regularly with technical resources on for projects with no assigned project manager to validate allocations, assess burn against budget, drive work forward, ensure adherence to scope and established processes and methodology, address issues and risks and provide guidance and escalation support.
  • Forecast and report revenue monthly for all technical workstreams where there no assigned project manager.
  • Monitor all technical resource allocations to ensure accuracy in order to support resolution of under- and over- allocations and forecasting of demand vs supply
  • Ensure Technical PM billable utilization targets are met by leveraging existing estimated PM time for smaller technical workstreams
  • Deliver technical workstreams in conjunction with smaller implementations into a variety of client situations achieving a high level of customer satisfaction within the context of the agreed upon scope of work.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of project management fundamentals including: scope management, time management, quality management, cost management and risk management.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of common software implementation practices, methodologies and standards
  • Establish a strong change control process with clients and project teams adhering to Mavenlink standards and develop change orders, statements of work as needed
  • Ensure a high level of fiscal control over technical workstreams by developing, tracking and meeting forecast goals related to productivity and profitability
  • Create and deliver technical workstream reporting to communicate status, required actions, financial metrics and potential risks or issues to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and suggest best practices and continuous improvements via post project reviews and root cause analysis
  • Contribute to the development of the Mavenlink implementation methodology particularly with regard to technical workstream management of small to large efforts
  • Demonstrate ability to work with limited oversight while observing project management best practices and driving technical workstreams toward a successful outcome.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate is a go-getter, a collaborator and has a can-do attitude.
  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and PMP certification is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the unique challenges faced by professional services companies and the opportunities and solutions available in the market
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and track numerous simultaneous technical workstreams and resources and balance competing demands
  • Ability to discuss Client’s business needs and goals knowledgeably and coherently and facilitate effective technical solutions
  • Ability to manage the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools and all phases of the project lifecycle including: plan and assess, design and build, train and deploy, and go-live
  • Address complex, nuanced business situations in a highly matrixed environment
  • Leadership ability to manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to leverage both formal channels and informal networks
  • Ability to drive performance while guiding and directing both internal and external project teams via local and virtual channels
  • Ability to effectively cope with change and maintain high levels of performance while mitigating risk and addressing areas of uncertainty
  • Experience in establishing clear direction, defining goals, and distributing workloads to the appropriate teams and individuals
  • Leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills with ability to influence, motivate, and lead people within and outside team
  • Be a team player! Ability to interact and perform in a cross functional team environment while remaining sensitive to the varying cultures of both internal and external organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 7+ years of progressive experience
  • Proficient in the use of standard business applications and specialized in-house and customer systems
  • Knowledgeable about standard software development process methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile) and tools. Comfortable developing implementation assets.
  • 3-5 years experience at a consulting firm, software company, or equivalent in a technical project management role
  • 5-7 years experience working in a client facing role, either as an external consultant or an internal client/customer supporting role working on technical implementations
