The Trainer and Curriculum Specialist educates, engages and empowers clients to successfully adopt our software and create a successful client experience. To be most successful in this role, the ideal candidate needs to have experience developing and delivering content for high-technology software products and solutions, be enthusiastic, confident, open to learning, and be able to communicate complex product knowledge in an easily understandable way for clients to consume and retain. It is crucial for the candidate to be able to fully understand our product to explain the precise functions of our product clearly.  The ideal candidate will be an exceptional, team-oriented self-starter individual who desires to educate and share knowledge through training clients of our product at all levels. The Trainer and Curriculum Specialist is responsible for helping both clients and internal employees ramp up in their product knowledge and will work closely with other members of the services team to provide best-in-class implementations to clients. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a high degree of initiative, has a passion for technology and possesses an entrepreneurial drive. As necessary, assist clients in managing change associated with the Mavenlink solution rollout including direction on relevant best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver outward-facing customer product training.

  • Continue to deliver high-quality product training to customers and partners that accurately and completely encompasses the complete functionality and features of their purchased product.

Instructional content design and curriculum development
  • Devote time and effort into learning new product features and benefits and be able to apply that information to the development of high-quality training content that conforms to the established standards and format defines by the Mavenlink Training department with the goal of transferring that knowledge and those skills to Mavenlink employees, customers, and partners. Continue to refine the course curriculum to assure complete and full product coverage for both client-facing and employee product training.
Internally-focused training

  • Deliver high-quality product training to Mavenlink employees as part of the new employee onboarding efforts. This activity will include onboarding and development of new Training team members for transfer of Mavenlink product knowledge as well as training methodology.
New Hire Orientation program
Assist in organizing the New Hire Orientation (NHO) training and in developing and delivering content for the event. This effort encompasses both company-wide NHO efforts as well as those at the functional level.
Implementation and on-going management of the Learning Management System
  • Assist in the design, development, configuration, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS). Responsibilities will extend to assuming the Administrative role for the system.
Assist in the development, delivery, and administration of certification programs

  • Continue developing, delivering, and managing the employee certification program by suggesting modifications, performing study sessions, and administering certification exams. Assist in the development of requirements and content for an externally-focused partner-based certification program.

  • 1-5 years of corporate training and/or previous customer support experience strongly desired.
  • Curriculum development and delivery experience are required.
  • Learning management system (LMS) experience preferred.
  • College degree required.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced, mid-stage start-up company environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to learn and apply considerable amounts of information.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent computer and Internet skills.
  • Strong detail orientation.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.
  • Flexibility in schedule to allow for both on-site trainings, web-based international trainings and attending trade-shows.
