Director, Demand Generation


We are looking for an experienced, progressive, creative and analytical director of demand generation to lead our demand generation team and help drive continued rapid growth for Mavenlink. This individual will have strong experience executing successful lead generation programs in a B2B technology environment, with proven skills in: organic and paid lead generation, sound lead management practices, modern testing methods, operational and ROI analysis, and partnering with sales leadership and sales development teams to meet revenue goals. They are driven to constantly improve on the status quo and passionate about driving business growth, modern B2B marketing practices, data quality and insights, process excellence, and a collaborative, performance-oriented culture.

This person will report to the SVP, Marketing at Mavenlink.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy demand generation programs that align with company and departmental business objectives, and meet demand generation goals
  • Test, develop, implement, analyze and constantly refine customer acquisition and growth program strategies
  • Intimately understand and own the buyer’s journey, and develop lifecycle programs that encompass the entire journey
  • Establish best practices, tools, and processes for promoting and executing an integrated marketing plan that’s aligned with our brand and marketing communications programs, differentiating Mavenlink in the marketplace
  • Partner with Sales leadership to manage and set pipeline definitions, metrics and goals
  • Work closely with sales development teams, supporting their needs, and helping to drive improved performance through honed tactics, technology, and content
  • Work closely with the broader marketing team to develop strategies for inbound and outbound campaigns -- incorporating content, email marketing, SEO/SEM, social, website, display advertising, live events, and more
  • Optimize lead management, data hygiene, lead scoring, and nurture models that align to industry best practices and perform above benchmarks
  • Ensure optimal lead flow and follow-up on marketing contributed leads
  • Manage marketing KPIs by analyzing and reporting on operational metrics as well as marketing program impact on pipeline, bookings and revenue
  • Negotiate with vendors and manage the marketing demand gen budget
  • Lead, align, and inspire lead generation team to achieve optimal performance

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of demand generation marketing experience
  • 5+ years experience in B2B technology
  • Experience marketing SaaS products
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, and testing systems
  • An outstanding track record partnering with sales leaders to drive business growth
  • Strong accountability for generating pipeline and revenue, not just leads
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-pace environment
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple people, and projects with tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills -- to interpret the data and translate it into actionable changes
  • Strong communication and writing skills with ability to work well cross functionally
  • Creative thinker, who has built innovative programs
  • Ability to develop/edit compelling, succinct, error-free marketing materials and campaign messaging
  • Highly professional approach for working directly with key customers
  • Strong multi-tasking, and project management skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented
  • Must be willing and able to travel occasionally
  • Bachelor degree required, MBA a plus
