Did we mention that Mavenlink is an awesome place to work? You’ll have the opportunity to work in an energetic environment with a smart team that loves what they do.
We are looking for a Product Designer to help Mavenlink envision and redefine the way people and businesses conduct work in the new connected economy. We need your help bringing that vision to life by creating human-centered, enterprise-level experiences that are elegant, refined and seamless. We are designing solutions that help businesses connect, perform work and optimize processes that are complex, multi-dimensional and, in some cases, have never been done before. We work together to learn about these problems and create a solution that our users will love and is good for the business. We do this through talking to our users, collaboration, and constant refinement.
Our Salt Lake City Team:
We have a learner’s mindset. We respect each other and want to help each other grow. The SLC team is a leader within our organization and our professional community. As a product designer, you will not only help shape the future of our product and but also the design team.
Are a trailblazer
You know that any complexity has simplicity buried within, and you are expert at uncovering it. You deeply understand current practices and discover better ways to solve the problem. You know how to instigate change and inspire people to try new things. What distinguishes you is not what you know, but what you’re willing to learn
Are mindfully adventurous
You are comfortable with ambiguity. You don’t rely solely on off-the-shelf patterns and solutions but think critically about frameworks and models. You are willing to step outside of your comfort zone and apply critical thinking to a problem set where you may have no personal experience to draw from. We solve challenging problems and know that you will never be bored at work
Love to collaborate
You relish the idea of working on a design pair where you each focus on a part of the interaction, why and how for example, and challenge each other to fully evaluate all aspects of the design. You can take ideas from both internal stakeholders and users, evaluate them and distil them into pragmatic solutions to user needs. You enjoy leading design discussions and can explain ideas and methodology. We recognize the need to throw on your headphones and go into focus mode, but value imperfection and the opportunity to discuss design before it’s fully fledged.
Are an authentic, purposeful designer
You have a strong visual sense and can convert complex concepts into easy to understand visuals. You design with intent, creating visuals that evince function while remaining considered and elegant in form. You are thoughtful in your application of design principles and understand when and why to break the rules
You create designs that last and are impervious to trends. We are giving life to empty space, our job is to be fluid and responsive to user’s needs and create an elegant and thoughtful space for conducting business.
