The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated departments. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP successfully balances the needs of employees and at the same time, satisfies Mavenlink’s business objectives. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees. The position will include project oriented work aimed at building a fully developed Human Resources Function within the company. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about operations, its financial position, its short to mid-range plans, its culture and its competition.

  • Functions well in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, technology centered environment where designing and architecting solutions is approached with energy and enthusiasm
  • Organizes and works independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization to include: management, outside vendors, and professional networks, etc.
  • Compiles and analyzes multiple sources of information, and research and develop solutions to resolve issues
  • Works well under pressure

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supports multiple employee client groups across different departments
  • Brokers the relationship between the Business and the Talent Acquisition Function related to business strategy, organizational structure and talent solutions
  • Serves as a resource in partnership with their client groups in developing actionable ideas targeted at retaining talent (via Talent Assessment, Goal Setting, Strengths Coaching, Career Development, etc.)
  • Implements programs and processes across the employee lifecycle (for example, On-boarding, Goal Setting, Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Succession Planning, Career Development, etc.)
  • Manages and assists in developing and/or executing projects to support business objectives
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Recommends, develops and provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Maintains knowledge of and ensures compliance with employment-related laws and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:
  • BA in HR Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of professional experience across a variety of HR disciplines (talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, training, and development, etc.)
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Demonstrates high levels of professionalism in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
