About the Role:

Mavenlink is looking for a Director of User Experience Design to define and lead the design process, inspire designers, and to reinforce our culture of open collaboration, individual ownership and meaningful impact.

You will be a key influencer on our product direction, strategy and execution. This will require strong vision on how design and research shapes product. It requires a deliberate, strategic, vision-driven approach as well as a rapid, agile, incremental value-adding approach.

You will have a sweeping mandate on product experience design, ownership and guidance over your team’s processes, methodologies and activities needed at all stages of the design and product process. You will set the bar for quality by example, with energy and passion, and participate in all phases of UX design process to provide expertise, mentorship, and oversight. You will inspire, empower, and motivate your team to elicit their best work possible and be an advocate for their needs and career growth.

  • Love enterprise software and solving real business problems.
  • Partner seamlessly with Product and Engineering to align design deliverables with product roadmap and development.

About the Job:
  • Lead the design process, inspire Designers, and collaborate with the entire team throughout project lifecycles and initiatives.
  • In close partnership and alignment with Product and Engineering, define and lead the execution of the overall UX strategy and vision. Communicate to senior executives and other stakeholders the overall UX strategy and deliverables.
  • Help inform and sequence the roadmap with product management to enable the best product experience for our customers.
  • Manage design resource allocation across all initiatives.
  • Recruit, grow and lead a team of UX designers and researchers.
  • Raise the capacity, skills and quality of user-centered design on your team.
  • Provide support for members of the design team and be an advocate for needs of the design team to the other groups.
  • Be an evangelist for the value of design and UX best practices and help raise the visibility of design across Mavenlink.
