Google Calendar Integration Goes Live!
I'm happy to announce that we've released our integration to Google Calendar for all Google Apps and GMail users! We're really excited to get this feature out on the heels of our Google Apps Marketplace release.
What does this mean for me?
We think we've got a really clean, simple, and effective calendar integration. We sync all of your project due dates and milestones to your Google Calendar. We know that many of you live and die by your calendar and treat it as the system of record for what you need to do on a given day.
Also, if you're someone who manages people, you know how important it is to stay in the loop. Now, you can just participate as a member of a workspace and your calendar will stay in sync with what the team is working on. No more status meetings or guessing.
How do I get started?
It's really simple - just head over to your account page and you'll see the "Google Account Integration" section that looks like this:
If you're logged into your Google account, you'll be taken straight over there to authorize Mavenlink access to your Google Calendar. Don't worry, we won't do anything to your existing calendars, we create a Mavenlink calendar that you can turn on or off.
Once you're authorized, we'll do all the work, syncing your upcoming milestones and project due dates. Once it's done (within 1 minute!), you'll see something like this in your Google Calendar:
That's it, you're done! Now, any future milestones and projects will sync right in whether you added them or one of your colleagues/clients did. You'll always be in the loop and so will your team.
Let us know if you have any other ideas for the calendar, otherwise, we'll keep you posted on further development efforts!
