Ray Grainger

Chief Executive Officer / Founder

Ray Grainger is the Founder and CEO of Mavenlink, where he is leading the mission to reinvent the way businesses do work. He has dedicated his career to helping clients succeed, and brings over 25 years of experience in software and high technology consulting to Mavenlink.

Ray began his career at Accenture, where he spent 17 years honing his expertise in professional services management as Global Managing Partner, consulting for both large enterprises as well as small and medium-sized businesses. During his time at Accenture, Ray also invested in several technology companies through Accenture Technology Ventures, including enterprise knowledge management vendor InQuira. He later became Executive Vice President of Professional Services and Strategic Alliances at InQuira (acquired by Oracle in 2011), where he met his Mavenlink co-founders, Roger Neel and Sean Crafts.

With a career built on tackling tough problems to help organizations work smarter and more profitably, Ray is the embodiment of the Mavenlink Mission: to help companies of any size across the globe conduct business better by combining technology and industry best practices. In his spare time, Ray is a true adventurer. He is an avid diver, world traveler, and has served on two expeditions to Antarctica with the National Science Foundation (for which he earned a congressional medal for Antarctic Service). Ray holds a B.S. in Engineering with distinction from Harvey Mudd College, where he is also a trustee.

Roger Neel

Chief Technology Officer / Founder

A software expert with over 12 years in the industry, Roger is an advocate for technology solutions that deliver business value. He brings expertise and best practices insight across industries in the areas of content management, knowledge management, and social networking applications. As CTO, Roger directs the product and engineering decisions of Mavenlink.

An accomplished web app designer, Ruby on Rails engineer, and thought leader in agile software development, Roger has worked with and advised a range of companies: from newly-formed startups to nationally recognized products and brands such as Apple, 3M, and Bank of America. He helped advise new product development and engineering while part of the Sales and Partners team for integrated knowledge management platform InQuira (acquired by Oracle in 2011), where he met fellow Mavenlink co-founders Ray Grainger and Sean Crafts.

Outside of leading the Mavenlink engineering team, Roger dedicates his time to mentoring startup founders and software developers. He is passionate about sharing his insight and advice with others when it comes to navigating the critical cross-section between business and technology. He was an early adopter and an advocate for the Lean Startup movement and pair programming principles. Roger carries a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from Cornell University.

Sean Crafts

Chief Growth Officer / Founder

Sean Crafts spearheads the company’s growth and strategy initiative which seeks to expand Mavenlink’s partnerships and capabilities to better serve clients on a global scale. As Mavenlink's Chief Growth Officer he interfaces with every Mavenlink department, lending his unique vantage point to the Sales, Client Success, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and HR teams. Sean is most deeply involved in devising new programs to keep Mavenlink in the forefront of emerging trends that impact how the world conducts business.

Prior to Mavenlink, Sean spent 10 years growing integrated knowledge management platform InQuira (acquired by Oracle in 2011). As Senior Director, he was instrumental in growing InQuira from a startup with 15 employees to a company poised for acquisition with over 150 employees and annual gross revenues of over $30 million. At InQuira, Sean directed the firm’s Alliance and Channel Sales Division, where he worked with future Mavenlink partners Ray Grainger and Roger Neel.

In-between growing Mavenlink, advising aspiring entrepreneurs, and running after six children, Sean can also be found on a surfboard (his happy place). He holds degrees in Environmental Science and Philosophy from Duke University, as well as a J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law.

Steve DeSantis

Chief Financial Officer

Steve DeSantis has more than 30 years of financial management experience in both the private and public sectors. In his role at Mavenlink, Steve is responsible for all financial, accounting, human resources, treasury, legal, IT, and facilities functions.

Steve has proven experience in building and leading finance teams, raising capital, and driving financial performance in emerging businesses. Prior to joining Mavenlink, Steve took two companies public, ShiftPixy in 2017 and TCI Solutions in 2004. Steve also served as CFO to four other technology companies from 2005 to 2019: DATAllegro, Predixion, Cloudvirga, and Nexiant. He was CFO of DATAllegro when the company was acquired by Microsoft in 2008 and was co-founder and CFO of Predixion Software. Steve began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in Los Angeles, is a CPA, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Jared Haleck

SVP of Product

Jared Haleck is a category-creating product leader, with he and his teams focused on transforming the professional services industry. Jared began his career in technology and SAAS as the first employee of InsideSales.com. While leading the product department at InsideSales.com, Jared and his team pioneered nearly every major technology used by today’s digital sales teams, including many AI solutions for sales.

During his tenure at InsideSales.com, Jared was a disruptor and a disruptee. "The refiner's fire of disruption has helped him build a better understanding of how to build innovative B2B SAAS products that win," said Jared. At Mavenlink, Jared is focused on using his experience to drive disruptive innovation in the multi-trillion-dollar services industry.

Jared is originally from the South Pacific and currently resides with his family in Silicon Slopes, Utah, where he and his family enjoy skiing and other mountain sports.

Lauren Langston

Chief Operating Officer

Lauren leads Mavenlink’s global business operations function and is responsible for overseeing Mavenlink’s strategy, analytics, and go-to-market operations. In addition to her current role, Lauren has the led the fundraising of nearly $100M in equity and debt capital for Mavenlink.

Prior to Mavenlink, Lauren was a venture and growth equity investor at Goldman Sachs, where she was responsible for sourcing, diligencing, and executing technology investments. She drove the diligence that led to Goldman Sachs’ early investment in Mavenlink and ultimately served as an advisor to Mavenlink’s CEO in her role as Board Observer. During her tenure as an investor, Lauren evaluated several hundred technology companies for growth investments and developed a passion for working with founders to help them build and scale their companies. Lauren also previously served as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, where she advised technology companies on IPOs, private placements, and strategic M&A transactions.

Lauren holds a degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Originally from Colorado, Lauren loves all things outdoors and is an avid skier, hiker, and triathlete.

Rob Pickell

Chief Marketing Officer

Rob Pickell is Mavenlink’s Chief Marketing Officer and is dedicated to spreading the word on how Mavenlink can help professional services organizations grow and prosper by leveraging the company’s innovative cloud-based services management platform.

Prior to joining Mavenlink, Rob was CMO/CCO for Kareo, a cloud-based platform for managing healthcare organizations, where he helped grow the company more than 500% from start-up to a nationally recognized market leader serving more than 50,000 physicians and other healthcare professionals. While at Kareo, Rob helped build and lead multiple functions including marketing, sales, customer success, business development, and product management.

Rob also previously served as Chief Marketing Officer, SVP Strategy for HireRight, helping the company achieve the number one global share position in its industry, made possible by 500% growth during his tenure at the company. Rob has also held a variety of leadership positions at technology companies, including Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Quantum Corp., Executive Vice President, General Manager of Escrow.com, Vice President of Partner Marketing for Stamps.com, and Group Director of Marketing and Channel Development for Verizon Wireless.

Rob graduated with a B.A. in Economics with department honors from Pomona College, and with an M.B.A. with distinction from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris Scalia

Chief Client Officer

Chris brings over 25 years of experience in the professional services industry to Mavenlink. In this client-obsessed role, Chris drives the creation and delivery of remarkable experiences throughout the entire client journey. He is responsible for leading our Advisory Services, Professional Services, Client Success, Support, Training, and Sales teams to deliver the Mavenlink solution, enabling clients to become higher-performing businesses. A thought leader in the services industry, Chris is also a member of the TSIA's Professional Services Advisory Board.

Prior to Mavenlink, Chris was the Senior Vice President of Implementation Services at ACI Worldwide, a $1B payments software company, where he built the services strategy and led a global team of more than 600 consultants, engineers, and partners. He has also built the Customer Success and Strategic Partner organization for 170 Systems (acquired by Kofax, Inc.), and has been responsible for driving the strategy for Kofax’s (acquired by Lexmark) global Professional Services and Educational Services teams. Chris began his career with Accenture, where he focused on helping clients re-engineer their business processes while leading global implementations of Oracle and SAP.

Chris holds a B.A. in Business Economics and a B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University.
